The original recording of “Summer’s End” appeared on Prine’s 2018 album, The Tree of Forgiveness, which is up for “Best Americana Album” at the 2020 Grammy Awards. The B-side of the 7-inch is an acoustic recording of another Prine original ballad, “Summer’s End”, which features guest vocal work from Courtney Marie Andrews.
